New grille that can be clamped in the rubber of the inlet tray.
These keep coarse debris such as pine needles and leaves out of the intake system, often piling up on the bottom of the intake pan.
These are not factory-finished, but are often seen in the Belgian army (aftermarket).
If desired, you can make it a little convex yourself, so that it is clamped in the rubber when closing the hood.
*These work best in the Bombardier iltis (model with rounded corners), but can easily be adapted for the VW version.
