Comments:
The Iltis was originally equipped with metal flanges on the axle boots without reinforcing ribs. (See left half of photo 2).
*2x axle boots on the long CV joint, 4x axle boots on the inside of the short CV joint.
Later, all modern axle boots were equipped with these extra ribs between the boltholes (See right half of photo 3).
As a result, the original mounting plates no longer fit.
These plates are very important to maintain the usable length of the bolts.
That is why we have developed these new plates, which fit all axle boots, new or old.
- 3 required per CV joint.
- 18 required for the entire vehicle.
